Realms in Time Terms and Rules

At Realms in Time , we strive to ensure our boards are safe, and they are a constructive and friendly environment for everyone. We ask you to follow the terms and rules the forum has in place to ensure this always remains the case. Please remember, these are in place to make sure the forum is enjoyable and safe for everyone.

Moderation at Realms in Time is very simple. We act in compliance with the terms and rules outlined here and in the link below. We moderate with "common sense", and if we know there is obvious, questionable content, we'll act upon it responsibly. That said, we aren't here to give anyone a hard time. The purpose of Realms in Time forums is to create a community across the globe, not to go crazy moderating. We let things slide here and there, because at the end of the day it's meant to be a fun community, not one where everything is taken too seriously. Of course, there are people that push it to an extent that causes other members not to enjoy their time here, and that's when moderation comes into play.

Note: If you observe someone breaking a rule or behaving in an otherwise questionable fashion, alert a moderator or an administrator by clicking "Report abuse" next to the post. Do not try to deal with them yourself.
To see a more simplified, community-friendly version of these terms please see Realms in Time Forums Rules and Conduct.

Piracy or Copyrighted Material

The distribution of copyrighted material is not allowed on Realms in Time forum. Encouraging or endorsing copyrighting material, distributing copyrighted material and related are grounds for account restrictions or warnings. Hosting content which is not yours is fine, as long as the content holder does not strictly disallow it, in which case discussion on it is allowed.

Flaming, Trolling, Harassment, Discrimination and Spam

Harassment or intentional abuse towards another member is not tolerated in any circumstances. Racial or sexist slurs directed towards another member are considered as a form of abuse, and considered as hate speech. While debating, disagreements and mutual differences is fine in discussions, we do not tolerate any sort of flaming, derailing, trolling, or offending of another member of Realms in Time forum. Trolling is defined as anything used to intentionally flame, or attract negative attention from another member. Trolling is much different from a normal debate, and in most cases a member that doesn't intend to troll will not be considered as such. Therefore, positive discussions are encouraged.

To clear up rules on profanity, it is allowed on the forum to express yourself, in pictures and text. Profanity classes in with general forum rules and will be subject to guidelines. Profanity used to cause argument, flame or harass is subject to the above category.

Avoid pornographic material or overly, sexually explicit material. Clear pornographic material is not allowed. Overly explicit material is also not allowed, which is defined as anything which shows human nudity. This rule mainly applies to images. Keep any explicit content appropriate for members in the community.

Users who post forum spam will have their posts removed. If a post that is otherwise appropriate includes links considered to be spam, those links will be removed.

Sensitive information

Don't post any sensitive information. Moderators will remove personal information from posts to protect your privacy.

Link to content rather than posting it in its entirety, unless you are the copyright holder or have permission from the copyright holder.

Do not post direct links to executable files. Moderators may remove these links to protect users from potentially malicious downloads. (You can post a link to the webpage that contains the file download but it may also be removed if a Moderator finds that the web page content could be harmful or if the web page link is spam.)

Other Content

It's impossible to make a rule covering everything, unless we want to rewrite law, or we can have a rule to, well, cover everything. Realms in Time forum serves as a forum and a community for users, so act like you're a user in the community. Think about whether the content is appropriate, and most of the time if you have to think about it, it may be inappropriate.

By registering at Realms in Time , users agree that posts deemed as inappropriate may be removed at the sole discretion of Realms in Time and/or any users authorized to act on behalf of Realms in Time . Realms in Time reserves the right to revoke privileges to access the forum without notice or reason. Realms in Time cannot be held responsible for content posted on the forums, or the content displayed. You also grant us a non-exclusive, permanent, irrevocable, unlimited license to use, publish, or re-publish your content on our service. You retain copyright over your content.

If you do not agree to these conditions do not register on Realms in Time boards or other services whereby these terms apply. If you are the holder of an existing account contact us for account closure.
